THIS WEEK'S NETFLIX'S RELEASES

I'm contemplating a change to the weekly DVD release list, so look for a change in this space in the coming weeks. In the meantime, here's the highlights of Netflix's releases:

Iron Man 2: Here's what I wrote about IM2 in my feature roundup, which also includes a link to Lou's review: Was it as good as the first? No, not really, but was it good? Yup, most definitely! It was a fun super hero movie with Robert Downey Jr. continuing his absolutely awesome portrayal of Tony Stark. The ending was better than the first, but once again these big super hero movies tend to disappoint me on their finales. The build to the Avengers continues here with a much bigger focus, and I like the way they are laying that out. Sam Rockwell was fantastic as Justin Hammer, and I, for one, hope to see him again somewhere in these films. For more on IM2, check out Lou's review.

Marmaduke: For the kiddies with Owen Wilson as the pooch in question.

Babies: This doc looked fairly interesting.

Frozen: This thriller is true horror, at least for me. Getting stuck on a ski lift with the resort closing for a few days? Ouch, sorry, that's nightmarish.

Good: Viggo Mortenson plays a Nazi professor. The man is always good, so I'd give this a watch.

Legendary: This one came and went in record time. A John Cena high-school wrestling drama. It looked well acted, but it doesn't have much of a sell.

There's more here. Happy renting!
