Well, folks, it's time again to welcome another Fiendish Podcast into your life to possess your soul!
In the second episode of the Fiendish Podcast, Lou and I take a look at what's ahead in 2011 movies. Then, we chat about a recent screening of the 1988 John Carpenter classic, They Live, and an essay book about it by author Jonathan Lethem!
A couple of quick notes before you click:
1. We once again had a recording issue at the 45 minute mark (have to get to the bottom of this!), so we had cut a little chunk. What you missed was a little discussion about Kevin Smith's Red State and his possible retirement, and a section about the last movie each of us saw (Sal: Repo Men, Lou: The Green Hornet). You'll probably find reviews on the latter at some point on the website anyway. That said, you won't be experiencing the little bit of static that surrounded that area in the first episode.
2. While we still await official intro music, we've put together two nice bumpers to start and end the show. We hope you dig those. And thanks to Marilyn Patrizio for her vocal talent!
3. This was recorded prior to the X-Men: First Class Trailers release.
And now onto the show. Thanks for listening!
Great job, guys! Really fun listening to this stuff. I'm glad you're up to date on upcoming releases so I don't have to be. Looking forward to more and hope we can catch a movie sometime! (Conan? CONAN!!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for listening, Ben! We're really enjoying this, so we're glad to have finally added it to the site.
