THIS WEEK'S NETFLIX RELEASES

This week's only major release is Rob Marshall's Nine. The musical is loosely based on Fellini's 8 1/2, and has quite a cast including Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, and Penelope Cruz amongst others. If you dig musicals it looks like it may be worth watching, although from what I've seen some of the numbers make me cringe as an Italian-American.

One flick, apparently a pilot for a series, that caught my interest as I scrolled through the list was Virtuality directed by Peter Berg. I haven't seen all of Berg's flicks, but the ones that I have (The Rundown, Hancock, Very Bad Things) I've liked, so I'm interested in his sci-fi entry even if it was for cable.

What? Francis Ford Coppola made a movie last year? Even as an indie drama, you'd think I would've heard of it. Alas, Tetro flew under my radar. Will I see it? Maybe. Should you? Why the heck not? It is Coppola after all.

There's more, so check out the full list here. Happy renting!
