THIS WEEK'S NETFLIX RELEASES

For me, this week's big release is The Book of Eli. I've always been a fan of Denzel Washington and the intensity he brings to his characters. I think The Hunt for Red October is where I became a fan, and have tried to see most of his flicks ever since. TBOE is one movie I really wanted to catch upon its release, but didn't have a chance to. This week it gets it's Netflix release, and it's a definite move to #1. As a post-apocalyptic action-thriller with a solid cast and really fun looking fight sequences, it has great possibilities, and a big-time return for the Hughes Bros. (Dead Presidents, From Hell).

Three other movies of interest this week are: Saint John of Las Vegas, The Bounty Hunter, and Chloe. I'm interested to see the quirky, indie comedy Saint John with Steve Buscemi in the title role, and Chloe looks kind of interesting, but The Bounty Hunter is kind generic looking. I wish Gerald Butler would stop taking these roles, and I raise a flag for anything with Jennifer Anniston.
