We have one big movie release this week, and a couple of little interesting ones.
First, there is Kick-Ass, movie I really wanted to see upon it's release, but just didn't get around to. Based on the comic created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., it's the story of a teen who decides to become a costumed vigilante and the craziness and reality that comes with it. Helmed here by Matthew Vaughn it seems that he's played up the big action and comedic aspects of the book, and from what I've seen with great results. Move this one up to #1.
Next we have After.Life, a weird little film with Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci, and Justin Long, three actors I like. Ricci is dead, and Liam Neeson is a funeral director who can somehow help folks pass on to the afterlife. However, Ricci might not be dead after all. Dum, dum, dum!
Finally, we have Roman Polanski's political drama The Ghost Writer with Pierce Brosnan and Ewan MacGregor. I really have nothing on this one other than the who's.
