Only two movies worth talking about this week:
Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones hearkens back to the director's Heavenly Creatures, a movie that got him quite a bit of critical acclaim early on in his career. This one stars Mark Wahlberg as a father looking for the killer of her daughter, who as a ghost, tries to help her dad.
Jeff Bridges won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of an alcoholic country music singer in Crazy Heart. I've always loved Bridges work so I was happy to see him get it. I'm not a big drama guy, so I'm not sure I'll get around to this one, but you should still see it.
