THIS WEEK'S NETFLIX RELEASES

Happy birthday, America!

This is yet another short release list, probably due to the holiday. There are only two flicks on this week's list that I'm interested in, and one other that I'll mention.

The first is Brooklyn's Finest. As a proud Brooklyn Original, I'm rather curious of how Antoine Fuqua handled our law enforcement officials. Fuqua's pretty solid in my book, so either way I'm sure he put together an entertaining flick especially with such a solid cast (Gere, Hawke, Snipes, Cheadle).

The other movie I'm interested in is a foreigner called Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. While I haven't seen a preview for it, I kept seeing the poster around Manhattan when it was given a limited release here. For some reason the image of the girl with the fireplace behind her was kind of haunting me. It sounds rather interesting as well.

Worth mentioning is A Single Man. Not my cup of tea, but Colin Firth was nominated for his starring role in it, so there's merit here.

That's it, get out there and enjoy some BBQ in honor of the USA! And then get out see some fireworks and join me for a midnight showing of Death Kappa at the IFC Center! Here's this week's complete list, happy renting!
